We all have things in our lives that we wish were better: health, wealth, career, friendships, relationships, etc. Here’s the thing. It’s within your power to improve all of these things. Want better health? Eat right and exercise. Want more wealth? Learn how to budget and invest. Career in shambles? Find what makes you happy and do that thing. Need more fulfilling friendships/relationships? Then ditch the Drake mentality of “no new friends” and go out and meet better quality people.
The change you seek in life begins with you, but here’s the caveat – you can’t make that change once and expect it to stick! Gasp! What did she just say?! I repeat: You cannot make that change ONCE and expect it to STICK! You have to apply persistent, consistent effort to create and grow change within your life. It’s not a one-and-done ordeal. If it were, there would be no need for therapists, coaches, motivators, gurus – you catch my drift. The reason why we have these fields in the first place is because, flat out, change is hard in and of itself. But to consistently work on that change?! Now that’s just madness!
Yet that’s what it take to see real, lasting results in your life. Growth and improvement require consistent change. You have to want it -really want it – in order to put forth the effort that’s going to be required of you. In time you will be able to see the difference that you seek, but only if you remain consistent in your efforts. If change is what you seek, it’s yours to grab. You just have to work hard at it and give it your best consistent effort. The rest will take care of itself.
